A compact cabinet works best when it gives daily shoes and seating a clear place without making the doorway difficult to use. This recessed-bench design is a starting point for a measured layout, not a promise that every small entrance can fit the same arrangement.
Entrance design references from our Spatial Solution Manual
Explore these additional cabinet configurations from our manual. They show options for custom planning rather than completed installations or a fixed package. Materials, dimensions and accessories are confirmed in your quotation.

The original gallery variations described below are retained alongside these manual design references.
Plan the walkway before filling a compact entrance
A recessed bench niche sits beside tall pale cupboard doors in this compact entrance design. Warm lighting and vertical grooves draw attention to the open section, with low clearance beneath the cabinet for footwear.
Measure the pinch points
Record the wall length, door swing, nearby switches and the narrowest part of the entrance. Review the space with cabinet doors open and someone using the bench. The manual prioritises smooth movement alongside storage capacity.
Use depth only where it is needed
Begin with the manual’s approximately 350 mm daily-footwear depth reference, then check your actual shoes and door construction. If shoeboxes require a deeper section, discuss whether only part of the cabinet needs that extra depth.
Choose a compact but usable seat
The manual’s 400–420 mm bench-height reference should be adapted to the household. Verify seat width, depth and support too. If seating compromises the route into the home, revise the bench or storage allocation rather than forcing the pictured proportions.
These planning references are adapted from Meerkat Home’s Spatial Solution Manual. Final dimensions and fittings are confirmed against your site measurements and approved design.
Customisation and pricing
Base shoe cabinetry starts from S$275 per linear foot. The final quotation depends on cabinet dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware and the agreed scope. Display glass, lighting, bench details and additional accessories are confirmed individually; the base rate is not the price of the complete arrangement shown.
The gallery presents design references and may include alternative configurations. Select the layout, cabinet-board material and finish samples with our team before production.
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit a small HDB entrance?
It depends on the measured wall, doorway and passage. Send a floor plan and entrance photographs so the arrangement can be assessed for your particular HDB layout.
Can the cabinet be shallower than the reference depth?
A shallower design can be discussed after checking shoe sizes and internal fittings. Reduced depth may change the storage arrangement or capacity, so it needs to be resolved in the drawings.
