Description

Tokyo Tranquility combines pale upper cupboards and warm wood-tone base cabinets across two parallel working sides. This Japandi kitchen design is a starting point for a calm, practical HDB or condo kitchen, with separate places for preparation, cooking and appliances.

Plan the galley around movement

Start with the refrigerator, sink and cooktop positions, then protect a useful stretch of preparation counter. The Spatial Solution Manual shows how a two-wall kitchen separates tasks while keeping storage close to the work area. Check the aisle with opposing drawers, oven doors and refrigerator doors open; a layout that looks generous with everything closed may feel tight in use.

Use depth and height to suit the household

The manual uses roughly 550–600 mm as a common base-cabinet depth and 300–380 mm for wall cabinets. These are planning references, not fixed product dimensions. Worktop height, wall-cabinet reach and the appliance openings are adjusted to the measured room and household. Appliance manufacturers' clearances take priority.

Keep tall storage useful

Group pantry storage or an appliance tower at a position that does not interrupt the preparation counter. Plan the internal shelf heights around food containers and equipment. Leave provision for ventilation, sockets and service access when discussing built-in appliances.

Bring the palette together

Compare the wood tone, pale door finish, worktop and backsplash as samples in your home lighting. Use closed cupboards for most supplies and reserve any open niche for items you reach for daily. The manual references below illustrate alternative arrangements; they do not change the supplied scope automatically.

Cabinet starting prices per foot run

  • Half height cabinets start from S$275 per foot run.
  • Full height cabinets start from S$549 per foot run.

A foot run means one linear foot measured along the cabinet run. These are starting rates for the selected cabinet category, not the price of the entire room or complete set pictured. The measured length, cabinet dimensions, materials, internal fittings and confirmed scope determine the final quotation. Material and finish upgrades are quoted during consultation.

Kitchen upper and lower cabinet runs are measured and quoted separately. A full-height pantry or appliance cabinet is quoted under the full-height category. Confirm worktops, appliances, accessories and installation inclusions in the project quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can this fit a narrow HDB kitchen?

The arrangement depends on the measured passage, wall runs and appliance doors. Share a floor plan and photographs so we can assess a parallel layout or discuss a single-wall alternative.

Are the refrigerator, oven and countertop included?

The starting rates cover the quoted cabinetry specification. Appliances, worktops, fittings, lighting and installation inclusions must be confirmed in the itemised project quotation.

How do I get a quotation?

Send your floor plan, site photographs, preferred cabinet lengths and this product link. We will discuss the layout, confirm measurements and review materials before preparing the final scope. Read about our cabinet design process or visit our Singapore showroom.
