Give keys, access cards and a small everyday bag a consistent home on the console, while footwear goes behind the closed doors. This layout suits an entrance that needs a clear arrival routine without turning the entire cabinet into open display.

A landing place for the things you carry home
A narrow wood-toned accent niche breaks up this pale entrance cabinet. The dark console shelf crosses the frontage, with a low open section below, creating a place for display alongside concealed shoe storage.
Start with the entrance route
Following the Spatial Solution Manual, plan the sequence from opening the door to removing shoes, setting down belongings and moving indoors. Place the console where it is reachable after entry, and check its projection against the door swing and main walking route.
Size the storage around daily use
The manual uses approximately 350 mm cabinet depth for everyday footwear and 400 mm where shoeboxes need space. Its 900–1,000 mm console-height reference is a starting point; adapt the final height to the people using the shelf and measure the actual shoes before fixing internal dimensions.
Keep display space intentional
Use the accent niche for a small selection of decorative objects. Reserve most enclosed compartments for footwear and less frequently used belongings, with a separate accessible shelf for daily pairs. Discuss adjustable shelves if boots and trainers need different clearances.
These planning references are adapted from Meerkat Home’s Spatial Solution Manual. Final dimensions and fittings are confirmed against your site measurements and approved design.
Customisation and pricing
Base shoe cabinetry starts from S$275 per linear foot. The final quotation depends on cabinet dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware and the agreed scope. Display glass, lighting, bench details and additional accessories are confirmed individually; the base rate is not the price of the complete arrangement shown.

Frequently asked questions
Can the console height be changed?
Yes, its height and projection can be discussed during custom planning. Bring the items you intend to place there into the layout discussion so the shelf remains useful and does not obstruct movement.
Is this console designed as a seat?
The projecting console shown is a landing and display surface. If you need a shoe-changing seat, request a separately designed bench with suitable dimensions and support.
