Custom cabinet prices in Singapore make more sense when you separate the cabinet rate from the total project budget. A price per foot run tells you how one part is measured; it does not tell you whether worktops, specialist fittings, delivery or other renovation works are included.

Meerkat Home's reference rates are S$275 per foot run for kitchen upper cabinets, S$275 for kitchen base cabinets, and S$549 for full-height cabinets up to 2.7m high. These are planning references from our cabinetry quotation guide, not a fixed all-inclusive offer. Our whole-home custom cabinetry minimum project spend is S$25,000. Confirm current rates, tax treatment and the complete scope in your written quotation.

Cabinet price per foot run: what does it mean?

A foot run measures horizontal length. Upper and lower kitchen cabinets are measured separately, even when they occupy the same wall. Wall panelling uses an area measurement instead. Always compare the unit, cabinet height and depth before comparing two suppliers' prices.

Cabinet category Reference rate Budgeting note
Kitchen upper cabinet S$275/pfr Measure independently of the base units
Kitchen base cabinet S$275/pfr Confirm worktop and sink-related work separately
Full-height cabinet S$549/pfr Reference height limit: 2.7m
Study table or living-room hanging cabinet S$275/pfr Confirm the design and dimensions covered

A worked cabinet-cost example

Our quotation guide uses a rounded conversion of 1m = 3.3ft for estimating. A 2m full-height cabinet therefore gives 2 × 3.3 × S$549 = S$3,623.40. This is a cabinet line-item illustration within a larger project, not a standalone package or a waiver of the minimum spend. The mathematical conversion is approximately 3.28084ft per metre; ask which measurement and rounding convention your quotation uses.

Height also matters. Applying the guide's proportional adjustment to a 3m cabinet gives 300 ÷ 270 × S$549 = S$610/pfr. Confirm the final design-specific rate. Width alone cannot explain the price of unusually tall cabinets.

What changes the final quotation?

Door finishes, glass panels, curved details, additional drawers and lighting can change the total. A kitchen needs separate decisions on the countertop, backsplash and appliances. A wardrobe needs a schedule of drawers, rails and internal organisers. Ask for quantities and model numbers rather than a general promise of premium fittings.

Our basic accessory guide lists Blum hinges and drawer runners, with a reference drawer allowance of one drawer per metre of full-height cabinetry. Have the designer show the actual allowance on the drawing and quote. Do not assume every display accessory is part of the base rate.

Before you compare prices

  • Match the cabinet dimensions and room-by-room quantities.
  • Specify the body, door and back-panel materials separately.
  • List standard fittings and optional upgrades.
  • Ask whether installation, transport, GST and site-related work are included.
  • Request a final payable total and quotation validity date.

Frequently asked questions

Is the per-foot price a complete renovation price?

No. It is a cabinetry pricing unit. Electrical, plumbing, hacking, appliances and other trades must be explicitly included before you treat them as covered.

Can I calculate my budget from a floor plan?

You can prepare an initial estimate, but cabinet elevations, internal layouts and site measurements are needed for a reliable quotation.
